Aridi: Hezbollah left deep wounds in May 2008

New TV: Minister of Public Works and Transport Ghazi Aridi said: “The current government is unique, and we tried to reach a consensus on the Ministerial Statement and achieved the best possible.”
He noted that the Lebanese has the right to “resistance” as long as there is an occupied territory, pointing out that when people talk about the army they have to realize that there is a decision to prevent the this army from being armed.”
Aridi stressed that “national unity is the only guarantor of the success of the resistance,” and pointed out that the events of May 2008 left a deep wound for which the resistance paid a steep price.

White House says ‘time is running out’ for Iran on nuclear program

The White House on Sunday said “time is running out” for Iran to address global concerns about its nuclear program, after the Iranian government reportedly approved a plan to build 10 new uranium-enrichment facilities. White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said that the reports, if true, “would be yet another serious violation of Iran’s clear obligations under multiple U.N. Security Council resolutions, and another example of Iran choosing to isolate itself.” The U.N. has demanded Iran halt its nuclear program.

Iran will build 10 new sites to enrich uranium

Iran’s government will build 10 new sites to enrich uranium, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday, a dramatic expansion of the country’s nuclear program and one that is bound to fuel fears that it is attempting to produce a nuclear weapon. Ahmadinejad told state news agency IRNA that construction of at least five nuclear facilities was to begin within two months.

Jumblatt praised reconciliation efforts of President Suleiman

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt praised on Sunday the efforts of President Michel Suleiman in sponsoring Jumblatt’s recent reconciliation meetings with Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun and with Marada Movement leader MP Suleiman Franjieh. “Suleiman’s efforts have reduced tension and helped speed up cabinet cabinet formation ,” Jumblatt said.
