President Michel Suleiman and his accompanying delegation is expected to arrive in Washington on December 12. He will be accompanied by Defense Minister Elias Murr and Foreign Minister Ali Al-Shami . His official visit begins on December 14 when he meets with U.S. President Barack Obama at the White House. He is expected to hold meetings with National Security Adviser James Jones , Secretary of State Hillary Clinton , Defense Secretary Robert Gates and Minister of Communications Ray LaHood who is of Lebanese origin . He will also be meeting Lebanese American congressmen: Nick Rahal, Charles Boustany and Darrell Issa. Arrangements are being made to hold meetings with leaders in Congress but will not be addressing the congress as has been previously reported .
