Minister of State Jean Ogassapian told MTV on Saturday that “conditions are suitable to integrate Hezbollah’s arsenal into the state,” adding that the issue is being transferred to the National Dialogue.
Ogassapian stressed that the March 14 alliance acknowledges Hezbollah’s role in liberating the country and restoring its dignity( a reference to the Israeli withdrawal from South Lebanon in 2000), but at the same time all majority ministers agree that the Resistance should not have a “legal identity ”
Ogassapian added that differences among Lebanese should not prevent benefiting from the “favorable political, financial and economic situation” and stressed that the cabinet’s priority is catering to citizens’ needs.
