Wahib believe me I don’t have any agendas lol. I know what you meant and we all want peace and sovereignty for Lebanon but as we all know it’s impossible to insulate Lebanon from the rest of the ME. Of course we hope the best with the new Peace plans the White House spokeswoman spoke about today on Abu Dhabi TV. I honestly want peace despite the genocide committed in Gaza…I don’t think am free to say more someone will get pissed off

Dalal, I am not sure if you read my thread at all as I fail to see where I have said that Israel wants peace and that we should forget about the people that we had lost.. clearly this discussion is going no where as you have your own agenda to spread… so I shall end with one last response. In a game of chess you sometimes have to give and also take, this is a time that we should have taken.

If Israel ever wanted peace for Lebanon or the ME we would’ve heard of ita long time ago..Israel draws state security strength from terrorising people inside and out because afraid of being overpowered..and dissolved..our children’s blood hasn’t dried yet..the soil still mourns the charred bodies under the rubbles..the cries and waling of mothers, and the tears of broken men. And you truly believe Israelis want peace? dream on my friend.

Gentleman, the way I see it is that Israel HAS done wrong by us, but why shouldnt we use our brains and take what we can when there is an option not to go to war? Is this such a bad thing? And since when are we NOT threatening Israel… if we take back the land is that not what it is all about? Or are we Lebanese supposed to still be fighting even after all of our land is back and continue to be the back water fighting ground for all the ME and anyone else who has a problem with Israel… the short story I believe is that certain people do not want Leb to get the land back as then there would be no reason for militias and people would then have to take direction from the Govt.

Wahib, us like anyone else need to THREATEN Israel to give us a grain of sand back.. You know them and I know them, they’re using the Shebaa farms as a base, which hopefully won’t be used for a war, and ofcourse, the UNIFIL is just a decoration in the ME.. Like the Americans and the Israelis would say, ”to hell with the UN”.

the problem is that Hisbollah is peddling Iran’s foreign policy and is only serving their best interest nt that of Lebanon. Iran cannot have peace between Israel and Lebanon, because Lebanon is their Ace on the hole for their nuclear bomb. any one who thinks diferent i have a large bridge to sell you for cheap..

What exactly do we “fear”? That if we close our eyes and pretend that they are not there that they will disappear and we will get our land back? Ridiculous! All we hear about is that our land is still occupied by Israel and we want it back, when there is a chance to get it back, “NO” we prefer not to get involved and let foreigners deal with our problems instead.. Do we know that UNIFIL will do right by us and under conditions that the Lebanese people will be happy with? How do we know this if we are not involved? If we are willing to go to war with Israel over land which in its own way is also “legitimizing” them, then dont you think that we should do anything else in our power to get the land back without a single shot fired?…. maybe its just my warped way of thinking….
