Fatfat: Adopting reforms should not mean obstructing elections

Future parliamentary bloc MP Ahmad Fatfat told Voice of Lebanon on Friday that adopting Interior Minister Ziad Baroud’s proposed municipal reforms should not mean obstructing June’s municipal elections. He added that the Future bloc is against delaying them.

Fatfat also said that the cabinet session scheduled for Saturday should be the last meeting set to address the reforms, “because we have reached an agreement on all contentious issues,” he said

“If discussions over Baroud’s amendments will continue this will clearly indicate that some parties do not want to hold the elections,” he added.
