Democratic Gathering bloc MP Elie Aoun told New TV on Sunday that he attended the Lebanese Forces’ ceremony to commemorate the 1994 banning of the LF in Biel on Saturday on personal basis.

“I attended [the ceremony] out of personal conviction, and my participation [in the event] prompted no positive or negative sign from [Democratic Gathering bloc leader MP] Walid Jumblatt,” Aoun said.

Aoun said that he is still with Jumblatt, but that he has personal relations with the LF, which is why he took part in the ceremony on Saturday.
