She won! some US reporters covering this have under-estimate and pigeon hole Lebanon. It doesn’t fit the middle eastern stereoptype, and some westerners struggle with that. We need to spell it out for them! We’re like the technology start up showing the large corporation that they shouldn’t be set in their way. great article. A mental block in some westerners prevents them from acknowledging this typically Lebanese kind of diversity. They insist on pigeon holing Lebanon as helpless in the face of more conservative countries. Articles like this might just enlighten them!
