Iranian envoy: Hariri Ahmadinejad meeting was positive

Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Roken Abadi told the media at the Grand Serail on Thursday that the meeting between Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was positive.

Ashtiani’s lawyer condemns Iran executions

The former lawyer of  Sakineh Ashtiani – the Iranian lady facing the death penalty – has described Iran’s leaders as “among the worst offenders of human rights abuses”.

Some are trying to reduce tension in Lebanon, Gemayel

Lebanon’s former president and Phalange Party leader Amin Gemayel said during an interview with Al-Arabiya television on Wednesday that some Lebanese officials are trying to reduce tension in Lebanon.

He said that Speaker Nabih Berri and Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt are working to establish relations between Prime Minister Saad Hariri and Hezbollah. (more…)
