Gemayel: We are worried about the future of Lebanon

Lebanon’s former president and Phalange Party leader Amin Gemayel called on President Michel Suleiman to hold emergency talks to save the country’s future.

“Some people do not search for a settlement, but are looking for domination,” Gemayel said.

Jumblatt trying for consensus on issue of false witnesses


The Lebanese cabinet will hold a meeting on Tuesday to discuss the report of Justice Minister Ibrahim Najjar on the issue of the false witnesses amidst concerns and fears that a vote could spark a fresh political crisis.

MP Saqr: False witnesses issue fabricated to destroy us

Lebanon First MP Oqab Saqr on Monday accused the Opposition of fabricating false witnesses to “destroy us.”

Al Qaeda: Lebanon will tremble if Ahmadinejad shows up

A group called the Abdullah Azzam Brigades said today that the whole of Lebanon will tremble and its ground will quake if Ahmadinejad steps foot on it.

Will Ahmadinejad use or support Lebanon?


Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun , a close ally of Hezbollah told the Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Sunday that
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s upcoming visit to Lebanon will have positive results.

Lebanon FM blocks debate on expatriate vote

“I asked to put a halt to the debate on absentee voting in the 2013 parliamentary elections,” Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Shami told NBN news channel.
