US to sell $60 billion in advanced arms to Saudi, report

The Obama administration has notified Congress that it plans to sell up to $60 billion in advanced weaponry to Saudi Arabia, in one of the largest-ever single U.S. arms deals.

Berri, Assad discussed Lebanon crisis

President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday reviewed with Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament Nabih Berri the efforts exerted to find solutions to problems threatening Lebanon’s security and stability, SANA reported.

Berri heads to Syria to consult with Assad over Lebanon crisis

Speaker Nabih Berri heads to Damascus Wednesday to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to consult with him over the Lebanon crisis, according to local report.

In an interview with As-Safir newspaper published on Wednesday, Berri said that he wants consensus between all parties on the issue of “false witnesses.” (more…)

Hezbollah blasts Ban report over UNSCR 1559
