Siniora: Dialogue is the only solution to disagreements

Former Lebanese Prime Minister MP Fouad Siniora said during a lecture at Kings College in London on Monday that an explosion of the Lebanese situation will spread to the entire Middle East.

Siniora delivered the lecture at Edmond J. Safra Lecture Theatre of King’s College . The title of the lecture was : Lebanon & the Middle East in a World in Transition. (more…)

Hezbollah MP: STL indictment aims to create Sunni-Shiite strife


Hezbollah MP Ali al-Moqdad told MTV on Tuesday that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon investigation is an intelligence tool and its indictment is aimed at harming the Resistance and at creating Sunni-Shiite strife. (more…)

MP Zahra: March 14 won’t surrender to Hezbollah

Lebanese Forces bloc MP Antoine Zahra , a key member of the March 14 alliance told LBC TV on Tuesday: “Hezbollah wants the March 14 coalition to surrender, but this won’t happen .”

Zahra said that “Hezbollah’s primary goals are have been achieved … starting with   obstructing the Lebanese cabinet …..” (more…)

Hariri meets Sarkozy- update

Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri arrived at the Elysee Palace for talks with French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Hariri’s three-day official visit to Paris is seen as the most significant step in international efforts aimed at moving Lebanon away from its crisis.

“The French leadership will inform PM Hariri that it stands by him and his government,” French diplomatic sources told al-Mustaqbal newspaper. (more…)

Brotherhood face collapse in Egypt poll

As results come in for parliamentary elections held on Sunday, the Muslim Brotherhood faces being virtually wiped out from parliament.

Al Manar: Turkey trying to postpone STL indictment

Al-Manar TV reported on Monday that Turkey is working to ensure that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)’s pending indictment is postponed.

Wikileaks: Iran armed Hezbollah through IRC ambulances

Iranian Red Crescent (IRC) ambulances were used to smuggle weapons to Lebanon’s militant Hezbollah group during its 2006 war with Israel, according to newly leaked U.S. diplomatic memos, which say the “IRC shipments of medical supplies served also to facilitate weapons shipments.” (more…)

Geagea: Nasrallah’s speech was calm, logical

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea on Monday praised Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s speech which he branded as calm, logical and democratic.
