March 14 tells Hezbollah: We will not succumb to blackmail

Jumblatt attacks Obama praises Iran

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblatt attacked US president Barack Obama on Saturday and praised Iran and the recent visit to Lebanon of its president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during an interview with Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).

Sayegh’s resignation clarified by the Phalange party

The Phalange Party media council clarified in a statement on Saturday the issue of the resignation of Minister of Social Affairs Salim Sayegh .
“Sayegh resigned from his position as deputy head of the Kataeb Party to abide by the “principle of non-dualism in party positions.” The statement said. (more…)

Berri: Sectarianism is eating the country

Speaker Nabih Berri told An-Nahar newspaper in an interview published Saturday that Lebanon cannot rise without eliminating political sectarianism and stressed that sectarianism is eating the country.

Berri said that Lebanon will not be revived until political sectarianism is abolished.

Siniora wanted to end the resisitance, says Hezbollah MP

Hezbollah MP Nawwaf Moussawi said on Friday that former Prime Minister Fouad Siniora aimed at “terminating the Resistance in exchange for ending Israeli aggression during the 2006 July War .”

Geagea tells Hezbollah to take it easy
