Sfeir praises Saudi-Syrian efforts to contain tensions in Lebanon

Maronite Patriarch Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir said on Friday at the Beirut Rafik Hariri International Airport upon his arrival from the Vatican, that all those who contribute to finding a solution to the difficulties Lebanon is facing are welcome .

STL to issue indictment on Dec 2, report

Ad-Diyar reported that the Lebanese Foreign Affairs Ministry received a notification from Lebanon’s Embassy in the Netherlands that the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL) will issue its indictment on December 2.

Jumblatt calls for rejecting STL and its indictment

Progressive Socialist Party (PSP) leader MP Walid Jumblatt on Wednesday accused the Special Tribunal for Lebanon ( STL) of being politically motivated and urged the Lebanese cabinet to unanimously reject it.

King Abdullah’s back operation in US successful, report

Saudi Arabia’s elderly monarch, who traveled to the U.S. earlier this week to seek medical care after being hospitalized late last week, successfully underwent back surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital, the royal court said Wednesday.
