A letter from about 30 prominent rabbis’ wives was causing a stir in Israel Wednesday because it urges Israeli girls not to date Arabs.

The open letter comes three weeks after the uproar caused by another letter, which was written by 50 state-appointed rabbis and told Jews not to rent or sell property to non-Jews. (more…)

No Saudi-Syrian deal yet over Lebanon Tribunal, report

The reports that have been circulating about a possible Saudi-Syrian deal being offered to Prime Minister Saad Hariri over the indictment by Special Tribunal for Lebanon are unfounded an unnamed source told Future TV on Wednesday.

Palestinians to target settlements in UN resolution

The Palestinians will ask the United Nations Security Council next month to approve a motion calling on Israel to halt settlement expansion in the West Bank.

Danish security foils ‘Imminent’ terror attack

Denmark’s intelligence service says it has arrested four people plotting what it called an “imminent” terrorist attack against the Jyllands-Posten newspaper, which printed controversial cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad.

The head of the agency, Jakob Scharf, described some of the suspects as “militant Islamists.” He said the group had been planning to enter the newspaper’s building and kill as many people as possible. (more…)

Hariri returned to Beirut and headed to Riyadh

Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s office released a statement that the PM returned to Beirut on Wednesday after a private visit to New York, but then headed to Riyadh on a private visit .

According to local reports Hariri traveled to New York on Sunday to meet with Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz is being treated for a herniated disc. (more…)

MP Marouni tells Assad: Leave Lebanon alone

MP Elie Marouni who represents the Phalange party responded in an interview to the recent statement of the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad over the indictment by the Special Tribunal for Lebanon by telling him to leave Lebanon alone.

Report: Syria killed more than 30 Lebanese leaders

According to a report by by Israeli news website ynet , the Syrian regime murdered methodically, since the early 1980s , more than 30 Lebanese leaders and public figures, and nobody opened his mouth or said anything.
