Labor Minister Boutros Harb said in an interview published on Monday Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun “wants to name the ministers for the new cabinet. He rejects granting Suleiman [certain ministerial portfolios]. He is acting as if he is the one forming the cabinet. Future Movement official Mustafa Allouch said in an interview published on Monday that Prime Minister-designate Najib Mikati is in a bad position because he was assigned to his post by Hezbollah.
“Mikati has two options: he can either be honest with himself, [step down and not] from a cabinet or he can form a unilateral cabinet that will lead the country into an inevitable confrontation with the UN Security Council and the international community,” Allouch told Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Anbaa.
