MP Majdalani: Cabinet formed by Hezbollah, awaits Syria’s green light

March 14 MP Atef Majdalani told Sada al-Balad newspaper that the cabinet has already been formed by Hezbollah but is awaiting green light from Syria.

“Hezbollah has the line-up of the new cabinet which is awaiting Damascus’ green light to be announced, and everything we’re hearing about names and obstacles is only aimed at covering up that fact.” he said (more…)

Obama:Gadhafi ouster not Libya mission’s goal


A coalition air campaign over Libya is not aimed at removing Moammar Gadhafi from power, despite U.S. policy that the Libyan ruler “has to go,” U.S. President Barack Obama says.

Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei used his new year’s message on Monday to slam the military intervention in Libya, back regional revolts ( doesn’t mention Syria), and accuses US President Barack Obama of lying.

11-year-old Syrian dies from attack on protesters

Mundhir Masalmi, 11, died today after suffering tear gas inhalation during a weekend demonstration in the southern Syrian city of Daraa, the Associated Press reports, quoting an activist who asked not to be identified. (more…)
