Obama accuses Hezbollah of political assassinations

US President Barack Obama accused Hezbollah of carrying out political assassination and pledged Sunday that the United States will stand up to the Iranian-backed militant group

Al Jumhouriayt newspaper has revealed that US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Jeffrey Feltman did not bring any initiatives with regards to the formation of the Lebanese government and that he came to explain the contents of the last speech of president Barack Obama on US policy in the Middle East. At least 926 people killed in Syria since March 15

Activists upped the death toll for the latest round of political unrest in the country to 76, most of them gunned down by ruler Bashar Assad’s security forces.

Last Thursday it was reported that the total number of Syrians killed was 850 . This brings the total number of Syrians killed since the uprising began on March 15 to at least 926. (more…)
