An Nahar: Did the Lebanese authorities receive STL indictment?

Chávez in Critical Condition In Cuban Hospital, report

Hugo Chávez extended stay in a Cuban hospital is because he is in critical condition, according to a report in El Nuevo Herald.

The Venezuelan president, who was last seen in public June 9 and last heard from on June 12, on a phone call with Venezuelan state television, was said to have been treated for a pelvic abscess in Cuba. (more…)

Terro: Corruption allegations not backed with evidence are void

Syrian opposition to meet over ‘transition to a democratic civil state’

Syrian Independent opposition figures announced that they will hold a consultative meeting in Damascus on Monday to discuss “how to solve the crisis” in the country that has been rocked by unprecedented pro-democracy protests for over 100 days.

Libyan football stars defect to join rebels

Four members of Libya’s national football ( soccer) team and 13 other leading figures in the sport have defected to the rebels.

The group include the Libyan national sides goalkeeper Juma Gtat and the coach of Tripoli’s top club al-Ahly, Adel bin Issa.
