Siniora: Hezbollah’s arms only issue to discuss in dialogue talks

Former PM and current Future bloc leader MP Fouad Siniora on Wednesday responded to Speaker Nabih Berri’s criticism that the bloc is “placing conditions” for engaging in national dialogue.

In a statement issued by his office, Siniora questioned Berri’s comments, asking “If Hezbollah’s arms are a source of dispute in the country, then why wouldn’t we want to call for addressing it in dialogue ?” (more…)

Gemayel: Lebanon needs to be protected from its resistance

The town of Lassa in the Jbeil district which is predominantly Shiite has been transformed into a Hezbollah military base, informed sources told al-Joumhourya newspaper on Wednesday.

The sources said that the Shiite party has dug tunnels and set up shelters in the town and installed cameras that would take photos of vehicles and drivers. (more…)
