17 killed in Homs as Assad admits of making some mistakes

Syrian security forces have killed 17 people in Homs, activists said. According to them, the army shot dead 17 people in the city, injuring another 20.

Rights activist Rami Abdel Rahman of the Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights told AFP troops were conducting a massive operation in the northwestern town of Sermin, where a woman was killed. (more…)

Siniora responds to Aoun’s criticism over energy bill


Former Lebanese PM and current Future Movement parliamentary bloc leader MP Fouad Siniora said on Wednesday that the draft bill proposed by Change and Reform parliamentary bloc leader MP Michel Aoun “should have been complemented with a clear project that shows how it will use the available funding, instead of resorting to borrowing through the Lebanese treasury.” (more…)
