Turkey, Syria, Qatar to host exiled Palestinians

A group of 40 Palestinian detainees being exiled overseas under a deal to free a captured Israeli soldier will be sent to Turkey, Syria and Qatar, “

At the moment, the countries that will accept prisoners are Turkey, Qatar and Syria,” a Hamas official in Gaza told AFP on condition of anonymity on Monday. “These countries, along with Egypt and Hamas will coordinate on the procedures under which the prisoners will be moved,” the official added.

Israel is due to release 1,027 prisoners in two stages in exchange for the freedom of captured solider Gilad Shalit, who was snatched by Gaza militants in June 2006.

The first stage of the exchange will occur on Tuesday, when Israel is to free 477 prisoners in exchange for Shalit’s return, with a second group of 550 Palestinians to be freed within two months.

Of the first group, 40 are expected to be exiled overseas, including 26 from the West Bank, 13 from east Jerusalem and one from Gaza. Others released in the first stage will either return to their homes in the West Bank, Gaza, east Jerusalem and Israel, or they will be exiled to the Gaza Strip.

WoW, What a deal for “HAMAS”. let me think loudly, the “Captured” Israeli soldier can go back home to enjoy life with his family! and the 40 “Detainees” shouldn’t do the same. If that wasn’t a lousy deal, what is????.

1000 of them not 40 and no, Gilad Schalit is a soldier. Most of those 1,000 people are deliberate murderers of civilians. But then, I guess you think that hate crimes are okay.

Ryan … 1027 total … did you ever consider that some may not wish to ‘go back’? Politics having changed in the time they have been in prison may be detrimental to their health when they are ‘free’. And maybe some are targets of retribution too. Stalin was one ‘leader’ in thinking that ‘Prisoners are traitors – they should have died.’ – and he happily sent them off to the Gulags or killed them outright when they were freed by the allies to ‘return home’.
We don’t know every little story in this scene … and I’m sure there are many reasons for some not to ‘return’.

5thDrawer, again and again….. for every comments I post here, you post a reply. (although you post your comments everywhere else on this site). It looks like you are a paid propagandist for the site and people who fund it. Or maybe you are a volunteer ( lol ), In both cases or in any case, get off my (…) and get a life!

…and I advice you not to reply, cause I wont read your reply…cause I am disgusted with the way of thinking you carry (…),
…and even if you reply it won’t be a waste of your lousy time, because that is what your time is all about.

        Too close to ‘home’ Ryan?
I am hardly a propagandist for a ‘discussion’ site.  By the way, can you edit out all the extra spaces? :-)
