Mikati attends funeral of Saudi Crown Prince

Prime Minister Najib Mikati headed to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Tuesday to attend the funeral of Saudi Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdel Aziz and to offer his condolences to Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdel Aziz and the royal family, National News Agency reported.

MP Fatfat hold Hezbollah responsible for threats against him

March 14 MP Ahmad Fatfat told Voice of Lebanon on Tuesday that Hezbollah is responsible for threatening him inside Monday’s Parliamentary Human Rights Committee session.

U.S. warns Lebanon on Hariri tribunal funding

The U.S. ambassador to Lebanon on Monday warned of possible “serious consequences” if Lebanon fails to meet its obligations towards a U.N.-backed court investigating the murder of the country’s ex-premier.

Ambassador Maura Connelly made the statement in a meeting with Christian leader Michel Aoun, whose Free Patriotic Movement is allied with the powerful militant group Hezbollah that has a key role in the Lebanese government. (more…)
