Arab Ministers to Discuss Syria Sanctions on Sunday

Arab foreign ministers will meet tomorrow to discuss possible sanctions against Syria after it missed a deadline to allow monitors from the Arab League to enter the country.

Free Syrian army kills 8 soldiers, wounds 40 in northwest Syria


The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said an attack by soldiers who defected from the army attacked a military convoy on Saturday in the northwestern part of Syria, killing at least eight soldiers and wounding more than fourty. Some of the wounded are reportedly in critical condition

Bahrain urges its citizens to leave Syria immediately

Deaths mount in Syria as Arab League mulls possible sanctions


At least 11 civilians, including three children, were killed Saturday by security forces across Syria, the Local Coordination Committees of Syria activist group said.

Seven of the deaths occurred in Homs, two in Deir Ezzor, and one each in the Damascus suburbs of Kanaker and Idlib (more…)

Will Mikati quit on November 30?

The big question in Lebanon right now is: “Will the prime minister resign following the cabinet session on November 30 if he fails to secure the needed funding for the UN backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon?”
