Three Syrians and a one Lebanese were kidnapped in the Bekaa region of Baalbek near the border with Syria at dawn on Monday, according to National News Agency ( NNA) .

The Lebanese was reportedly identified as Hasan Abdel-Rahim al-Sayyed

The four were kidnapped in the villages of Ham while on their way to the village of Tufail.

Some reports claimed that the men were carrying a large sum of cash and headed to a Lebanese arms dealer to buy arms for smuggling to Syria.

The gunmen have since fled to an unknown location.
