Mikati abruptly left emergency meeting at Dar al-Fatwa

Prime Minister Najib Mikati abruptly left an emergency meeting that was held by Dar al-Fatwa with Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani without giving any statement, LBC television reported on Monday.

Son of Syria’s grand mufti killed in ambush

A son of Syria’s Grand Mufti Shiekh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun has been shot dead near Ibla University on Idleb-Aleppo highway, Syria’s official news agency SANA reported, as Syria.

Earlier, a relative of the grand mufti told Al Arabiya that Saria Hassoun, 22, received two bullets, one on his chest and another on his stomach, and that he was taken to Idleb National Hospital. (more…)
