Saudi Arabian King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz blasted the Syrian regime for frustrating all attempts to end the bloodshed through peaceful means.
The king’s address was read out by Crown Prince Salman at the Arab League Summit in the Qatari capital on Tuesday. “The Assad regime has foiled all political attempts to resolve the crisis,” he said. (more…)
Damascus slammed the Syrian opposition for its “theft” of the country’s Arab League seat on Wednesday, calling it a “legal, political and moral crime.”

Syria’s resigned opposition chief Ahmed Moaz Al Khatib said he would address the Arab summit in Doha “in the name of the Syrian people,” in a statement on Facebook.

Amal Movement MP Hani Qobeissy condemned on Sunday the calls for firing Lebanon’s foreign minister Adnan Mansour from the cabinet over his controversial remarks on Syria during the Arab League ministerial meeting in Cairo.
The Amal MP went on to praise Mansour’s comments about Syria, saying that the minister “deserves an award for his stance.” (more…)
