Gingrich comments provoke strong Palestinian reaction

Palestinians reacted angrily Saturday to comments by Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich that the Palestinians were “an invented” people.

At least 926 people killed in Syria since March 15

Activists upped the death toll for the latest round of political unrest in the country to 76, most of them gunned down by ruler Bashar Assad’s security forces.

Last Thursday it was reported that the total number of Syrians killed was 850 . This brings the total number of Syrians killed since the uprising began on March 15 to at least 926. (more…)
