An Israeli warrant officer and five Israeli citizens are suspected of working with Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, the Israeli military said Wednesday.
The Israeli military said Wednesday that a warrant officer working with Israeli forces and “a number of Israeli civilians” were involved in drug smuggling activities in Israel and Lebanon. The identity of the prime suspect is still under a gag order. (more…)

Security forces on Wednesday began destroying poppy fields in eastern Lebanon in a campaign aimed at stamping out drug production.

There is a rising problem among Lebanon’s youth which many are trying to ignore.
Lebanon, which is known internationally for its long history of drug cultivation, now has a rising number of addicts overwhelming the country’s drug rehabilitation centers.
“There are an estimated 10,000 to 15,000 drug addicts in Lebanon, and around 75 percent of them are heroin addicts,” (more…)
Following the weekly meeting of the Lebanese Forces parliamentary bloc in Maarab, L F leader Samir Geagea admitted that “most Ouyoun Orghosh residents are LF supporters, including those detained over this case.”
He was responding to the media reports of March 8.

The Lebanese Internal Security Forces have seized 16 grams of cocaine from a Saudi Prince at Rafik Hariri International Airport, As Safir daily reported Thursday.
