Geagea hails SNC statement, says implementation is more important

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea praised on Thursday the statement issued by the Syrian National Council but added “what is more important is that the clauses of the statement be implemented.”

Geagea predicts the fall of Assad regime in 2012

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea predicted on Saturday the collapse of President Bashar Assad’s regime in 2012 and the start of building the Lebanese state

During a gathering of his party’s general committee in Meerab he said :
“Following the fall of the Syrian regime, we will enter a well defined political process of building relations between Lebanon and Syria as two independent and sovereign states and end Syrian interference in this country.” (more…)

Geagea returns to Beirut after meeting Hariri, key Saudi officals

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea returned to Beirut on Tuesday from his trip to Riyadh where he held talks with former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and a number of high-ranking Saudi officials, said a statement by the LF .

Geagea slams Syrian army’s violations of Lebanon sovereignty

In an interview with Al-Jumhuriya newspaper published on Monday Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea blasted the Syrian army’s violations of Lebanese territories calling it a “flagrant violation” of Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Geagea also slammed the cabinet for not issuing any statement on the Syrian “violation,” calling their silence “national treason”. (more…)
