Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea condemned the crackdown on pro-democracy protests in Syria and said that change in the country is “inevitable.”

Hezbollah: Every victim of 2006 war should sue Lebanon

Victims of the July 2006 war with Israel should file lawsuits against Lebanese officials and Western governments for assisting the Jewish state during the conflict, Loyalty to the Resistance Bloc MP Nawaf Mousawi said Sunday.

“Those who were harmed from the Israeli aggression should file lawsuits in Lebanese courts and international courts against those who colluded with Israel against them in 2006 and against Western governments, especially the U.S. government, who provided the enemy with missiles to be fired at our neighborhoods and homes,” Mousawi said during a ceremony organized by Hezbollah to commemorate those who died during the war. Aoun: Lebanon needs Hezbollah to survive

Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun stressed on Sunday that Lebanon’s future is “closely linked to the Resistance and the powers that are confronting Israel’s policies.”

He told al-Nour radio: “We cannot survive as a nation without these powers and without the Resistance’s support.”

“Lebanon’s future is related to the Resistance…because Israel is an aggressive state that only wants to control and expand,” he added. (more…)

Hariri: Hezbollah ordered media to fabricate lies against my family

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri accused on Saturday Hizbullah and its chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah of launching campaigns against him.

Hariri’s press office issued a statement saying that “some media campaigns against him are ongoing attempts aimed at attacking everything related to ex-Premier Rafik Hariri, his family, and political and national approach.” (more…)
