PSP sets conditions for abolition of political sectarianism
Progressive Socialist Party’s media representative Rami el Rayyes said his party is with the abolition of political sectarianism in Lebanon and in accordance with the Taef accord .
In an interview, “or TV”, he said “there are still some concerns within some communities about this issue and for this reason a minimum consensus should precede any dialogue on this issue, in addition a Senate should be established for preservation of rights of each of the sects and a new election should be established based on proportional representation

Central News Agency ( CNA) has reported that the Progressive Socialist Party delegation will visit tomorrow the Phalange and Tashnag parties to invite them to a conference that will be held by PSP in the middle of January about the Palestinian rights
PSP helps March 8 win the elections at LAU Beirut campus
The March 8 opposition won the elections at the Lebanese American University’s Beirut campus as a result of the support by Walid Jumblat’s Progressive Socialist Party.
The “Keep Working” March 8 alliance, representing Amal, Hezbollah, the Free Patriotic Movement, the Lebanese Democratic Party, and Syrian Social Nationalist Party, managed to pick up all the 12 seats, after PSP supporters voted for the opposition camp.
But at the LAU Jbeil campus, the March 14 which includes the Lebanese Forces, al-Mustaqbal movement and Phalange party, managed to win seven seats, while the March 8 alliance , won five.
