Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri said on Wednesday in an interview with Radio Monte Carlo :”My allies are my allies and I’m proud of them, and they are the ones who attended the meeting in Bristol, which had a special meaning.”
Democratic Gathering bloc leader MP Walid Jumblatt who was the most outspoken supporter of March 14 failed to attend the meeting but a statement issued later in the day by his media office said the group will take part in the Feb. 14 rally.
Last Sunday, March 14 forces held a broad meeting at Bristol Hotel in Beirut to discuss preparations for the rally on February 14 to commemorate the fifth anniversary of the assassination of Lebanon’s former PM Rafik Hariri.
