Hezbollah chief to comment shortly on STL

Hezbollah issued a statement on Saturday that its secretary general, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, said during a scouts event that he might comment within the coming days on the latest reports on the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL), including those on the tribunal’s interrogation of Hezbollah members.

I will say what I find appropriate to keep the people updated on the issue, Nasrallah added.

There are unconfirmed reports that up to 15 members of Hezbollah were summoned for questioning , but the office of the STL prosecutor denied the reports and branded them as speculation .

In May2009 the German magazine Der Spiegel revealed that Hezbollah was behind the assassination of Lebanon’s former PM Rafik Hariri who was killed in a huge bomb explosion in downtown Beirut in 2005 .

STL was created to try the killers of Hariri and related crimes
