Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun who is visiting Spain stressed on Monday that “Israel is rejecting peace and seeking solutions via wars which are not of use anymore.”

Aoun who is allied with Hezbollah , said “the fighters of the resistance had chosen to liberate the land, not to practice terrorism, as some are trying to publicize.”

Europeans are reacting positively to my statements regarding the current situation in the Middle East, he said, adding that Europeans no longer consider Israel’s policies acceptable.

Aoun also said that his talks in Spain dealt with bilateral relations, including opening a flight route between Beirut and Madrid.

Aoun met with Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos at the Spanish Foreign Ministry in Madrid on Monday

Aoun invited the Spanish people to visit Lebanon, saying: “Don’t fear, there’s no war and Lebanon respects all religions and beliefs … Lebanon is the country of diversity.”
