Suleiman: This summer season will help improve Lebanon’seconomy

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman said on Monday that the high number of visitors to Lebanon reflects stable political and security conditions, National News Agency (NNA) reported .

“This summer season will help improve the economy,” he added.

Abboud: Airport traffic up 30 %
Lebanon’s Tourism Minister Fadi Abboud denied on Sunday remarks attributed to him that many tourists had canceled reservations to visit Lebanon following the latest attacks by residents of south Lebanon against the U.N. peacekeepers.

Abboud said he warned the ministers at the last cabinet session that exaggerations over the clashes could lead to a drop in the rate of reservations.

He said Rafik Hariri International Airport is currently welcoming around 15,000 people daily, most of them tourists, a 30% increase over last year.

every story in lebanon is a huge deal cos people have nothing netter to do since they’re unemployed and they just can’t shake their heads for the haze of cloud they’ve been in for 40 years.

most of the posters on this site reflect that. every single story is met by some emotional speech and a history lesson. who cares.
