Israeli army kidnapped a Lebanese shepherd

An Israeli patrol crossed into Lebanese territory on Wednesday and captured a Lebanese shepherd identified as Sharbel Khoury near the border, the Lebanese army said in a statement.

“In a flagrant assault on residents of southern Lebanon… Enemy troops crossed the technical fence south of the village of Rmeish and kidnapped a Lebanese man, whom they took back into the occupied territories,” or Israel, it said.

The statement said the army was in contact with the UN Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), which is tasked with monitoring the Lebanon-Israel border, in order to “free the citizen.”

UNIFIL was set up in 1978 to monitor the border with Israel and was expanded after the 2006 war between Israel and Hezbollah , which killed more than 1,200 Lebanese, mainly civilians, and 160 Israelis, mainly soldiers. AFP

What would have happed if the Lebanese army,or HA had kidnapped an Israeli settler?
The whole world would have considered such action as a provocation for war.Condemnations would be flying all over the airwaves and burning Fios internet cables around the world.
The UN security council would be called for an emergency meeting at midnight to pass a resolution against Lebanon.
Israeli planes would have already started bombing bridges and power plants.

Lebanese kidnap soldiers not poor shepherds tending to flocks. lol

    2. Dude, I don’t know what you’re smoking, but I read a bit of international news and have visited the UN website. It seems most of their resolutions are AGAINST Israel, not Lebanon. Grow up and stop whining. If I was in charge of Israel, I would demand an apology for decades of Lebanese and centuries of Arab aggression against the people there.

Wasn’t Israel’s prime minister Golda Meir who said : I WON’T FORGIVE PALESTINIANS FOR FORCING US TO KILL THEM?
You have some nerves asking for apology dude.

You should have said: If I were in charge… And you’ll never be in charge. You must be a rich brat keyboard guerilla fighter who got his PC from his rich daddy typing foul words because you do not know what you’re saying. Here is a thought… Join the IDF and come to Lebanon for a visit but do not forget the body bag which you will be returning in.

Thank God, you are not correcting my English, lol
I better be careful from now on.

  3. Prophet every one know that the american are using the tribunal to pressure Syria and Iran and try to impose settlement on the nuclear program.

For me this is not my concern, Im concern of the well being of my people from the south to the north.

The only way to achieve peace is to renonce in violence of word and which ever other ungly face violence take ….

The equation is simple whitout an perception of justice no one will be accountable and violence will dominate our political landscape.

This is not acceptable… Please try to understand that justice must start now and the rule of law must be part of our culture if we want to see a futur for our beloved nation.

The indictment suggest that some members of hez where part of the assasination… So let justice pursue is course… We are not accusing hez althought I believe they were implicate and Syria.

So they ( hez )believe it is the end of the world. It can be the beginning of a new era for a more peaceful and understanding lebanon.

The real plot, the real enemy is within our borders. Why are they so against the tribunal because they fear the Isreal plot? or rather the truth of their real intention will be reveal to their supporters.

Their real intention is not to place lebanon first but rather destroy Isreal and take the people of lebanon with them starting with the shite sect.

    Peace to you brother!

marc, welcome back and happy new year.
      I’ll sum up what I think many shiia think of the STL and the likely accusation of HA members of assassinating Hariri;
the history of Shiia/Sunni relationship is marked by two major events that both can’t escape;the first one is Karbala, and the other is Kamiss Uthnman. Many Shiia I talk to, they say we already have two events that we have to live with, we can not afford a kamiss Hariri.
