Lebanese army commander General Jean Kahwaji called on the military forces on the occasion of Independence Day to be united and work hard to protect Lebanon from repercussions resulting from the current regional events, National News Agency reported on Sunday.

The Independence Day falls on Tuesday Nov 22.

“National duty calls on you, more than ever, to be always ready… to confront the schemes of Israel, which continues to violate Lebanese sovereignty.” He said adding “National duty also calls on you to be firm in protecting the path of security and stability.”
