Retired Lebanese judge Salim Jreissati, is expected to replace former Labor minister Charbel Nahhas according to al Liwa newspaper sources

Like Nahhas ,Jreissati is also a Free Patriotic Movement member. FPM is headed by MP Michel Aoun, a close ally of the Iranian and Syrian backed Hezbollah.

The head of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon (STL)’s defense office, Francois Roux, appointed Jreissati as one of the counsels of the defense office to provide the defense lawyers with assistance in challenging the STL’s legality.

Eight defense lawyers were named by STL to represent the four Hezbollah members indicted by the STL in the murder of former PM Rafik Hariri

The STL is not illegal … providing defence lawyers is legal … and if it’s a guess that al Liwa seems to be making, one could hardly expect Aoun&Nasty to want someone who thought in ‘secular’ mode.
